<div>Hello, My name is Lyric Contarino and I attend Brevard college as a double major in music and theatre. I have been involved in music for most of my life and it has gotten me through many tough moments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year my chamber choir was chosen to work with the esteemed composer Elaine Hagenberg, and participate in a huge choral ensemble for the European premier of a new multi-movement piece.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My college is all about experiential learning and working with some wonderful hands on experience, and although they are funding our "landed cost" I will need to afford airfare from Charlotte to Paris, and back!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My choral director expressed this opportunity by saying:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Working with the composer will open up new areas of understanding about the compositional process, and give new insights into the composer/performer relationship.
</li>
<li>Performing with other musicians from across the globe will inspire new creative thought and likely be a highlight of your college career as a performer.
</li>
<li>Experiencing a different culture can help bridge new horizons in empathy and thought.
</li>
<li>As a singer, hearing different languages first hand can help you master vocal diction.
</li>
<li>We will take opportunities to perform ourselves (assuming a balanced group commits) in some of the most storied performance venues in Paris.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is truly a one of a kind experience that I would love to be a part of, to travel and gain more wonderful experience doing what I love most, singing.
</div>
<div>The estimated cost of a round trip ticket is about 2000$ but I am also in dire need to get my passport and have emergency funds while I am not in the country, as I have never traveled that far before!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all for taking the time to read, if you're able to help thank you, and if not please share! &lt;3
