Help Lupe Maldonado in this time of loss

Our beloved Lupe Maldonado needs her community to help her through this trying time. In her words, God is good! she is alive and physically safe. But her home is GONE and everything in it, including her car and her mothers car.
On Sunday at 7pm, a fire started in a large trash bin under a carport near Lupe's condo (the fire department has not determined if it was an act of violence) . It spread fast and started destroying all the car's in that port and moved on to destroy all the condos adjacent to it......
Lupe was getting up from a nap and awoke to smoke and fire on the first level of her condo. She screamed for help from her second floor bedroom window. With the help of others she was able to climb out using a ladder. She escaped with just a nightgown. That is the only possession she now has. She is devastated.
Lupe, gives to so many in our community from her family and friends, to her colleagues at Fresno State. She motivates us to live to the fullest and advocates for others daily whether it's her students or her mother. It's now time for us to help her! The loss of damage is in the 6 figures along with family memorabilia that can never be replaced. But at least we can help ease this devastating blow and show our care for her as she does for us at every turn.
She is thankful for all the family and friends that have asked her what she needs. This is one thing she needs, along with your continued prayers. We are blessed to have our beautiful Lupita with us still. Let's rally around her and show her how blessed she is!
