Help Luna Receive Potentially Life Saving Surgery
Luna needs your help; her spine was severely injured in a car accident on April 8th. She was sitting in the backseat when another vehicle collided with ours at 40mph, throwing her out of the rear passenger side window and breaking a vertebrae in her spine. The broken vertebrae is pressing on her spinal cord and she needs immediate surgery to avoid becoming paralyzed in her rear two legs.
She is currently on several medications to keep her comfortable and is receiving around the clock care but this surgery is the only way to ensure she gets back to the happy, playful, ball-of-sunshine that everyone knows her to be. Luna has been a force of joy to us and anyone she meets with her gentle spirit, always brightening peoples day; please let us help her in her time of need.
With the cost of her exam, xrays, and medications we've exhausted most of our savings to do everything we can for her, but the cost of this surgery is just not possible for us at this time.
Please consider donating whatever you can so that together, we can help Luna bear make a full recovery. The total cost of the surgery is estimated to be $6,000-$7,000 and it is a very cautious and in-depth surgery. The neurologist strongly recommends we perform the surgery within three days to prevent the bones from becoming too calloused. (If we reach our goal her surgery will be performed on Monday, April 13th; which happens to be her 2nd birthday. Lets get this birthday girl the care she needs!)

Luna bear received her surgery and is recovering quickly!! We are so grateful for each and every person who helped make this happen! She will be back to her happy and healthy self in no time!!
With the help from the gofundme community and a local rescue organization we raised a total of $4870! The gofundme page will stay up for the time being to help with her ongoing medical expenses, physical therapy, and the credit lines we had to take out to cover the remaining $2,130 for the surgery.
