Hello! I adopted Lulu without realizing that she tore her cranial cruciate ligament. She and I were lucky enough to have her leg operated on, however, that surgery has since been proven to be unsuccessful. Lulu had the traditional lateral suture technique done, however, this has a low success rate for dogs over 40lbs. Lu and I were hopeful being that this was all I could afford at the time. Insurance was out of the question because her leg injury is a pre-existing condition. As much as Lu and I hoped she could be better with the lateral suture surgery, she needs the TPLO now more than ever. I tried to do something good for her and now I ask for the help of others to get Lu the help she needs. This surgery will improve her quality of life, her confidence, and her ability to be around strangers and other dogs without her pain standing in her way. Adopting a dog and finding out she has an orthopedic issue post-adoption is the worst feeling. Nevertheless, I won’t give up on Lulu. Please help me help my dog and give her the better success rate surgery.
