<div>Hi, I'm Liam, and on the 4th of August I'm going to set out on a walk from Canada to Colombia, to raise money for one of my best friends Luke, who was given the devastating diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, at just 26 years old.

<div>The journey will begin from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada, and will be ending in Medillin, Colombia. This journey will be over 7000 km long, and will be done entirely by walking on foot.

<div>To tell the story from the beginning...

<div>Luke and myself met while traveling throughout Vietnam on motorcycles together back in 2016. We met each other in Hanoi, and Luke was the one who taught me how to ride my motorcycle. We rode all the way to Ho Chi Minh together, and from Vietnam went on to live together in Brisbane, Australia.

<div>We have seen 7 countries so far together, and Luke has seen countless more than I have.
</div>

<div>Anyone who knows Luke will know him as a charismatic fun loving person, with passion for sport, adventure, travel and life. Basically all of Luke's previous interests and hobbies involve being physically active, which of course makes this diagnosis all the more upsetting as he adjusts to this new life. He already is in a wheelchair, and his symptoms are progressing alarmingly quickly. His life expectancy is short, and this has been absolutely heartbreaking for all of us close to Luke.

<div>Almost imediately after his diagnosis, Luke was an absolute inspiration with his determination to 'fuck it' and live his life to the absolute fullest. He began a quest to see and experience as much of the world as possible. He's had a great year as far as travel goes, doing a few 3 month trips around Europe in his camper, and 6 months in Mexico. And traveling in Africa throughout countries such as South Africa and Namibia - all with his wonderful fiance, Becky. Thank you again to anyone who helped make this happen.

<div>So, I thought it might be time for me to step up and try to help one of my best friends continue to live his dream, despite the obstacles in his path. Luke is the definition of the word inspiration, and is the kindest soul you could come across.
</div>

<div>If you choose to donate, your money will not be going to a charity. It will be going directly to Luke Lawes, and every penny will help him live his dreams, and continue to inspire the rest of us while he does so.
