My heart is breaking as I write this, but I'm reaching out for help in the hopes of saving my beloved dog, Lucy's, life. She's been diagnosed with oral melanoma, and the road ahead is uncertain. But I know that with the right treatment and care, she can still have a happy and fulfilling life.

The treatment plan is aggressive, but it's our best chance at beating this disease. Lucy needs surgery to remove the tumor, which will cost around $6,000. Following surgery, she'll require a melanoma vaccine treatment that will help prevent the cancer from coming back. The vaccine treatment will cost an additional $3,500 to $4,000 for the initial series, plus ongoing check-ups and monitoring. I'm overwhelmed with the costs, but I'm more devastated by the thought of losing Lucy. She's more than just a pet - she's my companion, my best friend, and my family member. She was with me through my cancer journey and many more life of my life challenges and I won't give up on her now.
