<div>In March 2025, our family bought what we thought would be our dream fixer-upper. We moved in that May, excited to make it our home. Just two weeks later, our identical twin daughters, Lucy and Josie, were diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia.

<div>Since then, every part of our lives has been devoted to their survival. They are just 9 months old, spending most of their days in treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. When they’re able to come home, we desperately need it to be a safe place for their fragile immune systems.

<div>But instead, we’ve learned that our house is filled with dangers:

<div>•	Galvanized pipes contaminating our drinking water

</div>

<div>•	Knob and tube wiring that poses a fire hazard

<div>•	Poor air quality and heating unsafe for immunocompromised children

<div>Our contractor has told us the only way forward is a full gut renovation.

<div>We are already facing overwhelming medical bills and never imagined that our home itself would put our daughters’ health at risk. We do have a GoFundMe set up, but the scope of this project is beyond what we can manage alone.
