Help loving fur baby get surgery

To the fur baby lovers out there I am asking for your assistance.  This baby is not mine as you will find out. I'm here asking if we can get together and help this fur baby out! We stepped up and took him in but we need a little help.

So my husband, my girls and I were driving near our home at night when we stopped and witnessed a car abandoning two dogs and drove off. The street this happened on was very dark it does not have light posts.  We stopped and were trying to catch the dogs when they got spooked and ran. A escalade driving fast down the street hit the male dog and scared the female dog.  We tried calling animal control for help but no one would be available until the morning.  So with the help of 2 other good Samaritans we got him in our vehicle.  The female we tried to catch her but with no luck.  We took him to the vet and were told he had a fractured right femur which requires surgery.  We found a vet but we need some assistance to help this fur baby.  

I understand it's a hard time and with the holidays but anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
