Help Love and Support Ron's River Dogs

For around 10 years, our community has been blessed to have Ron and Robin Simons share their delicious Hot-Dogs with us.  What started out as a part-time gig on the river, and then to the streets of Elkhart, Ron's River Dogs became a full-time responsibility once Ron became the sole breadwinner.  Robin had lost her income and benefits and has been on disability.  If you have followed Ron and Robin's updates, you probably know that Ron's health has not been up to par lately, and he had to spend some time in the hospital.  He had to have a procedure on his esophagus to help his difficulty swallowing, and in the midst of this, he was told his kidneys are very weak and not working as they should due to his medication and severe dehydration.  Because of this, he is currently on dialysis 3 times a week and may have to be for the rest of his life.  Things are still uncertain, though we are all wishing and hoping for the best and that his health makes a full recovery.  Between Ron and Robin's health, and the negative impact Covid-19 has made on small businesses this year,  they have and will take a rough financial hit.  Ron's River Dogs Sales are down tremendously this year due to Covid, as they lost many of their normal locations to set up such as nursing homes and early season corporate work.  Once things started to pick up during the pandemic, Hebrew National Hot Dogs, which is their main supplier, experienced a supply shortage which cost them an additional 2 weeks of no income.  Scheduled events also had to be canceled.  A month of their sole income will be lost in August, and only a partial schedule will be possible in the future, especially since Ron's health situation is so uncertain, along with the Covid crisis.
While Ron and Robin are trying to figure out things financially without an income, they still accrue costs such as Insurance, commissary rent, and the loss of wasted food during this unforeseen downtime.  Overhead continues, even when revenue doesn't.  Ron and Robin are wonderful, hard-working people, who love their community and the smiles that they put on their customers' faces.  They in no way would ever ask for help, as they are very humble people, but in times like these, it's so important to show people like Ron and Robin that they are loved and that they mean so much to us.  Ron's River Dogs would not be Ron's River Dog's without Ron.  He is the kind of guy who can talk to anyone, and his witty jokes will have you laughing and happy all day!  I personally don't know what I would do if Ron's River Dogs had to call it quits.  It would be a sad day for everyone, and the only way to make sure we can keep coming back to see Ron, have our yummy Hot Dogs, and happy laughs is to help support him and his amazing business.
Would you consider showing some love and supporting Ron, Robin, and their business??  We all know what it's like to fall on hard times, and we know it's hard to ask for help.  Any amount to help support them is a blessing!  No amount is too little or too small!  Let's come together, as a community, and help this amazing wonderful couple, keep our favorite Hot Dog vendor making us his delicious River Dogs!

Thank you for your support.  I know Ron and Robin will be ever so humbled and grateful for it!!
