I met Louise last summer through her husband Tyrone. We were introduced through Legacy of Hope, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit which helps cancer patients receive emergency patient support, when I was producing a small photo shoot for the organization with local photographer Colin Lenton & photographer/CGI creator Andre Rucker.

Immediately, I knew Louise and Tyrone were special people & the story of their relationship stuck with me in the following months. I kept in touch with Louise afterwards. When I went to deliver their portrait, they welcomed me into their home and I lost track of time catching up.

Earlier this year, Tyrone passed away & Louise has been left to deal with their landlord who has become increasingly persistent (to the point of physical aggression) that Louise must vacate the property. It is no longer safe for her to stay in the home she shared with Tyrone.

As we all know, hiring movers can be a costly burden during an already expensive time (putting down a new security deposit, taking off of work to tour new homes, etc.). Mission Movers have graciously agreed to partner with me to ensure that Louise can move out of her home safely & at a discounted rate. I would like to be able to pay them their full rate for helping move her so quickly but I can only offer so much help at this time.

There are SO many worthy causes to put your money towards at this time. It can feel overwhelming. Just $800 is the total cost of her move after my $100 contribution. It would mean so much to me if we could take care of this for Louise during an already difficult year.
