Hi,

My name is Pati, and I am fundraising for my 6-year-old daughter Lorin’s football training and development.

Lorin has loved football since she could walk. Back in my country, there were no opportunities for girls to play or train football, so her dream had to wait. Because of the war, I was forced to seek protection to the UK, and we went through heartbreaking years of separation. At last, Lorin, her sibling, and their dad were reunited with me in the UK, the happiest moment of our lives, but also the start of many financial struggles.

To reunite my family, I had to cover every cost of starting again like flights, rent, deposits, bills, furniture, clothes, and school essentials. I spent all of my savings and went into debt to make it possible. With the rising cost of living, we now find it very hard to make ends meet.

Lorin overcame early challenges and began training locally, where she quickly showed remarkable talent, passion, and determination. One of her proudest moments was receiving her very first football jersey on her first birthday in the UK. Yet, while we celebrated the Lionesses’ recent victory in bringing it back home, we were hit with the painful reality that we can no longer afford to keep Lorin in training.

I want Lorin to have the chance to keep playing, building her skills, and reaching her full potential, with the same opportunities as other children. For her, football is more than a game, it is a way to grow, to belong, and to believe in a brighter future.

Our first milestone is £1,500. This will cover Lorin’s immediate training and kit and get her back on the pitch right away.

Our longer-term target is £10,000. This will provide stability for several years, covering club fees, equipment, tournaments, and the costs of progressing onto a competitive club pathway.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help Lorin continue her training and show her that after everything she has been through, her dreams really can come true, and that one day she can be a source of inspiration for every girl chasing her own dreams.
