PLEASE HELP!!
"Caregivers go through MORE than they will ever tell you. They give up a lot and rarely have a social life. They can get, Sick, Emotionally, and Physically worn out. It's a lot for ONE person. We will never KNOW, until we have walked the road of a family caregiver."
This is a Call for HELP for, Lorie Lucas, from Facebook friends, family, and those who are compassionate, to show your caring nature.
Lorie, a caring woman, in her senior years, is the POA/HCR (Power Of Attorney/ Health Care Representative) for her sister, "Margaret", with, 'Down Syndrome'.
She is now Stranded & soon to become Homeless, in, Indiana.
Lorie needs YOUR financial help (prayers help too), to assist her with getting safely back home, to Arizona.
Lorie has given her heart and help to many people along her path. She was recently treated 'ungraciously' by her step-family after assisting them with 'cargiving' for THEIR father for 18 months until his passing (recently deceased)...
with resources and entire savings depleted, NO offer of remuneration nor financial recuperation, and being denied reimbursement for expenses, all the while STILL caring for her sister (2 hr drive each way).
During Lorie's caring for her stepfather, she became injured, and is currently receiving medical treatment. Lorie was also kicked out of her stepfather's house, by her step-sister-in-law, after being assured by her stepfather, that she can "relax", is "family", and can "stay as long as needed", during the care of her sister, not honoring their father's last request, placing Lorie into the desperate situation at hand. Unfortunately, she has 'family' near (and just outside the area), who for some reason or another, have not shown interest in offering the support, or assistance needed...
Thus, again, leaving, Lorie, stranded, in NWI (Northwest Indiana), with winter upon her, and a long way from home, from her residence in Arizona.
Lorie could NOT at the time, in good conscience, leave her sister, until, SAFE and SECURE (with proper staff & training), and is Now seeking YOUR compassion, generous hearts, and HELP.
Please, will you help Lorie, and give from your heart and make a generous ($5, $10, $15, $20...or more) contribution?
If even just half of our family of friends gave a minimum of $5 each, and Shared this post with THEIR friends, this venture would be completely painless for everyone involved...
