My sweet sister-in-law, Lori Collins, a loving wife and mother of three awesome kids, was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After the initial blow of accepting this reality and what it means for the near future, their family also has the tremendous financial burden of the accumulating medical costs. Holy crap! Fighting cancer is so expensive! We are trying to raise money to help them with her doctor visits, chemotherapy, frequent trips to the emergency room, medications, travel expenses and potential future lost wages. My brother is a hard working law enforcement officer for the county of Lubbock, and though they do have insurance, it's really not very good. They are repeatedly denied medical care during emergency situations, which is just madness!! How can this happen?!
Lori is a very strong and motivated person and wants so badly to overcome this monster so that she can continue to be the best mother and wife that she can be. Let's help her get through this, shall we? Please keep her in your prayers as she is going through this battle. Let's show her she doesn't have to do this alone.
