<div>I want to share the incredible journey of my dear friend Loren Lockwood, who embodies resilience and hope.
</div>

</div>
<div>As a devoted single mother to her beautiful 19-year-old daughter Maude, who is on the autism spectrum, when Loren was diagnosed with three separate primary cancers in December 2021—stage 4 ovarian, stage 4 cervical, and breast cancer—Loren refused to let her circumstances define her. After a 5-hour surgery, chemotherapy, and a lumpectomy, she fought bravely and emerged victorious. In April of 2023 she underwent targeted radiation for a malignant lymph node that was left over from the chemo.

<div>However, the battle reignited in December 2023, and Loren started chemotherapy in January. While she showed stability for a time, she is now facing some disease progression with new lesions in her liver and lymph nodes.
</div>

<div>Two weeks ago, doctors informed her that the chemotherapy is no longer effective – she now has platinum resistant ovarian cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need help to ensure Loren can access all the care she needs and as soon as possible. The cancer is very aggressive and we must act faster than the cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There is one new ACD (antibody drug conjugate), that Loren began this week, as well as a new integrative treatment protocol available that is only partially covered by insurance. Loren is committed to doing both to increase her chance to reach recovery
</div>

<div>Loren's journey is about more than just her health. The bond between Loren and Maude is truly special—Maude has made incredible strides, evolving from a time of silence and difficulty into a wonderful young woman who expresses herself through alternative communication. Loren’s ongoing strength is critical for Maude's continued growth and independence.
