At about 1AM on Friday Feb 14th, I received a WhatsApp message along with a very disturbing video from an old contact (Pesanai) whom I have not been in touch with for many years. His message was dire - a young brother (Lonely) got mugged and he needs financial assistance to get him from Chiredzi to Masvingo hospital, Zimbabwe for a CT scan.

For the next 9 hours, it was non-stop back and forth trying to understand the situation, getting hold of the attending physician and charting a path forward. Pesanai and I later spoke.... "Ndakati ndakavata madeko, ndakafunga kuti ndiyani ungandibatsira, ndikati regai ndabate boss..." [As I lied in bed last night, I wondered who could help me out and the person I thought of was you boss...], he said.

I feel his burden and decided to carry it along with him. I am reaching out to you to help me carry the same alongside him. His latest message to me - verbatum "...Thanks so much now I very happy I can start eating sleeping..."

Help me make his happiness (through faith) a reality and help his brother make it through what is potentially a difficult journey ahead.

The immediate need is $360. $60 is to cover the cost of ambulatory transfer from Chiredzi District Hospital to Masvingo Provincial Hospital, Zimbabwe and $300 for a CT scan.
