Help Lombok Earthquake Recovery!

Donation protected
Hello my friends,
I want to ask anyone who can to please help the people of Lombok, Indonesia.  The Island of Lombok suffered a catastrophic earthquake with several large aftershocks leaving hundreds dead and tens of thousands homeless. Many communities around the island of three million people are struggling for basic necessities like water, food, clothing, and tents to sleep in after their homes have been destroyed.

My friend and former colleague, Barry Perdana Putra, is a Lombok native and has been working everyday distributing everything he can to many parts of the island. They have multiple  trucks they are using across the island. However, everyday is a struggle for him, his father, and the rest of his team, both emotionally and physically, as they go around the island handing out supplies. They are sourcing all supplies, but are required to order a lot of things from other islands such as Bali and Java. As tour guides for my former company, they are very well connected around the country and local communities, but require additional funds to continue their much needed work.

All donations will go towards purchasing more water, food, tents, gas, and medical supplies as needed. Barry and his team are in direct contact with the communities as they make rounds of the island so are able to effectively gauge what the people's most pressing needs are. All funds are transferred directly from me to Barry Perdana Putra's personal bank account. From there he has access to the money to purchase additional supplies as they feel are most urgently needed.

You may know how much I love Indonesia if you have seen me since moving to the country in 2014. I lived and worked in Lombok for several months before moving to Java, so I know several people who have been affected. Anything you can provide is much appreciated and adds up with the support of  others and will go a long way to help the people of Lombok. While the story is already out of the news cycles, the situation is far from over.

All these pictures are from Barry as they do their work in the last few days.  Thank you all for even the smallest of donations and much love from Indonesia.

Please share the link as well :)

Much of the island must live in tents now. However, there are currently not enough and rains are expected in the coming days.
