Lola is een kleine, bescheiden evenementenzaal in hartje Groningen. Bekend in binnen- en buitenland, is Lola een populair podium voor opkomende bands en bands uit specifieke genres.
Voor Corona bood Lola een podium voor opkomende lokale, nationale talent met eigenzinnige shows. Niche genres en excentrieke kleinkunst voorstellingen helpen bij het opbouwen van ervaring en naamsbekendheid in het Groningse en daarbuiten. Lola verwelkomde ook regelmatig internationale acts die op zoek waren naar bekendheid in de EU en om hun fanbase hier uit te breiden.

Vier jaar geleden nam eigenaresse Ilja de Bruijn Lola onder haar hoede. Haar onderscheidende ondernemerschap heeft nieuwe en interessante geluiden de ruimte gegeven.
Wekelijks zijn er concerten uit diverse genres; Lola heeft een eigen jam sessie. Denk ook aan Comedy Nights, maandelijks terugkerende evenementen zoals De Think Pink dansavond, Dolly’s Dazzling Karaoke, Kizomba Dansavond. We hebben Burlesque avonden gehad, Drags shows, zelfs een bokswedstrijd!
Het waren goede tijden. Na jarenlang een stabiele groei te hebben doorgemaakt, heeft de Corona-pandemie Lola hard getroffen en alle groei tot stilstand gebracht. De afgelopen negen maanden zijn er forse bezuinigingen geweest. Helaas zijn de reserves die de afgelopen jaren zijn opgebouwd snel verdwenen.
Met deze geldinzamelingsactie wil Lola € 10.000 ophalen om de Corona Winter te kunnen overleven.

Lola is a small, modest event venue in the heart of Groningen. Known at home and abroad, Lola is a popular stage for emerging bands and bands from specific genres.
Before Corona arrived, Lola provided a stage for emerging local, national talent with quirky shows. Niche genres and eccentric cabaret performances help build experience and brand awareness in Groningen and beyond. Lola also regularly welcomed international acts looking to gain prominence and grow their fan base in the EU.
Everyone who knows Lola loves her.
Four years ago, owner Ilja de Bruijn took Lola under her wing. Her distinctive entrepreneurship has given space to new and interesting sounds.
There are weekly concerts from various genres; Lola has her own jam session. Regular Comedy Nights and monthly events such as The Think Pink Dance Night, Dolly's Dazzling Karaoke, and Kizomba Dance Night. We've had Burlesque Nights, Drag Shows – even a boxing match!
It was the best of times. After years of steady growth, the Corona pandemic hit Lola hard and brought all growth to a halt. There have been significant cutbacks in the past nine months. Unfortunately, the reserves built up in recent years have quickly disappeared.
With this fundraising campaign, Lola wants to raise € 10,000 to survive the Corona Winter.
