Help Living Mythologies Go To AMC

Hello all, Living Mythologies will be joining this year’s Allied Media Conference to take part in their “Art As Resistance” track to combat the current co-optation of practice and imagery produced by cultures of resistance, while presenting the importance of healing and art as critical intervention. We believe it is imperative that Queer Trans Intersex People of Color are present to share their lived experiences, stories of poverty, unrest, incites and art making to influence the scope of our entire collective liberation so as to not fall into the colonial cracks of HIS-story and assimilation.

Our team is in need of funding for lodging and travel costs. We will be present for the duration of the conference to make necessary connections with accomplices/allies, others whom we share affinity with and those doing similar work.

 Living Mythologies is a collaborative art endeavor curated and directed by Shruti Bala Purkayastha and supported by the creative insights of  Chella Coleman, Reyna Ripper, Jose Richard Aviles and Edxi Betts. It was made to be a creative intervention, ceremony, and liberatory practice that examines individual-collective well being particularly centering Feminine Queer Trans Intersex People Of Color Communities. Please help support and fund those  endeavours.
