<div>Simeona is a brave 9-year-old girl from Serbia who has spent most of her childhood fighting for her life. At just three years old, she was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. From 2018 to 2020, she underwent intense treatment in the United States — including multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and other aggressive therapies.

<div>Today, Simeona is once again in the U.S., now battling the long-term effects of her previous treatment. Her most critical issue is lung fibrosis, a serious condition that severely affects her breathing. She is currently dependent on oxygen 24 hours a day and cannot function without it.

<div>Doctors are doing everything they can to stop the progression of the disease, but if her lungs continue to deteriorate, she will need a lung transplant — a complex, high-risk, and extremely expensive procedure.

<div>Her family is now living far from home, in a foreign country, facing an uncertain future. With no stable income, their focus is solely on Simeona’s care. In addition to the overwhelming medical costs, they are struggling with the high cost of living and basic needs.

<div>Simeona je devetogodišnja devojčica iz Srbije koja je većinu svog detinjstva provela u borbi za život. Sa samo tri godine dijagnostikovan joj je visokorizični tumor – neuroblastom. Od 2018. do 2020. godine lečena je u Americi, gde je prošla kroz izuzetno težak i iscrpljujući proces – brojne hemoterapije, zračenja, operacije i druge agresivne tretmane.

<div>Danas, Simeona se ponovo nalazi u Americi, jer se suočava sa novim i veoma ozbiljnim zdravstvenim problemima – posledicama prethodnog lečenja. Najveći izazov trenutno je fibroza pluća – stanje koje joj otežava disanje i život u celini. Simeona je 24 sata dnevno priključena na kiseonik. Bez njega ne može da funkcioniše.

<div>Lekari čine sve što mogu da zaustave dalje propadanje njenih pluća, ali ako se situacija ne poboljša, Simeona će morati na transplantaciju pluća – komplikovanu, skupu i rizičnu proceduru.

<div>Njena porodica je trenutno daleko od kuće, u neizvesnosti i strahu. Borave u stranoj zemlji, bez stalnih primanja, fokusirani isključivo na zdravlje svog deteta. Uz sve lekarske troškove, tu su i visoki troškovi života i boravka.
