Help Little Liam Stay Home

This little guy needs our help so he can stay with his daddy. Little Liam, is the son of one of my very best friends. Before I talk about Liam, I want to share a little about his Dad. Liam’s Dad is a machinist who works long hours trying to make ends meet. Basically paycheck to paycheck. He loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and going to church. He is the person I call if I am stuck in the woods, need someone to talk to at 3 am cause things aren’t going so great and has on numerous occasions. He’s always there, always there for anyone and everyone. People like him don’t get credit where credit is do. I am sure a lot of you are like this. It’s our turn to give back. He is stubborn and doesn’t like asking for help. He needs it more than ever now and I finally convinced him to let me set this up. Liam’s mom started using drugs 4 months into her pregnancy (July) shortly after they moved into a house together. She refused any and all help from anyone, including him. When she was beyond the point of denial, she became hostile and my friend had to remove himself from the living situation and the relationship in August. He continued to plea with her to get sober for at least the baby's sake, but she disappeared on him and continued using multiple drugs, including meth and heroin. With nothing else he could do he used the remaining 5 months to prepare the best he could for the arrival of Liam. Children's Protective Services became involved with Liam’s mom in October. Liam was born on December 31, 2017, with opiates and amphetamines in his system and CPS placed him with his Dad. Liam went through 22 days of treatment in the hospitals NICU for opiate withdrawal and drug exposure..
My friend is a CNC machinist who normally works full time but since Liam’s placement, he has had to take extensive paternity leave to care for him. He still is unable to go back to work. Bills are piling up and money is tight, tight, means none. We are helping the best we can and I am asking from the bottom of my heart, Anyone who can help to please help my friend. With CPS involved things become tricky. He is a good Dad but if he has no roof over his head, little Liam gets taken away and put into foster care. If he was able to work it wouldn’t be a problem. Let’s help my friend get through these next couple of rough months so Liam can grow up hunting and fishing with his Daddy. I don’t want to see another child go into the system. I have kept his name out of the picture to protect him and Liam. Also because he is embarrassed asking for help. Please take the time to even just donate $5 or even a $1. A little adds up quick!
