<div>On October 8th, 2024, our lives were shattered when our vibrant 2-year-old son, Arthur Tétrault suffered a tragic drowning accident at our rented home in L’Île-Bizard, Québec.  Despite our efforts, including CPR at the scene, Arthur’s tiny body was without oxygen for far too long.  After 70 agonizing minutes, the incredible team at the hospital brought him back to us.  But Arthur’s journey had only just begun.

<div>Since that heartbreaking day, Arthur has shown unimaginable strength. He now breathes on his own, a milestone we once feared we’d never see. But he faces a long, difficult road ahead. At just two years old, Arthur has lost the ability to walk, talk, and enjoy the world as he once did. We’re determined to give him every chance to regain the life he deserves.

<div>When we couldn’t access the care Arthur needs in Canada, we turned to the United States. Arthur is now under the care of a world-renowned specialist, Dr. Paul G. Harch, in Louisiana. On January 13, 2025, he will begin hyperbaric oxygen therapy—treatment that has helped other young drowning victims achieve miraculous recoveries. These therapies, along with specialized care, offer real hope.

<div>But hope comes at an overwhelming cost. We are humbly asking for your help to raise $2 million CAD to cover the life-saving treatments, medical transportation, equipment, and ongoing therapies Arthur so desperately needs.  We dream of the day we’ll see him walk, hear him call us "Maman" and "Papa," and watch him live the full, happy life he deserves.

Mais la route qui l'attend est longue et semée d'embûches. À tout juste deux ans, Arthur a perdu la capacité de marcher, de parler et de profiter du monde comme il le faisait auparavant. Nous sommes déterminés à lui donner toutes les chances de retrouver la vie qu'il mérite.

<div>Ne pouvant accéder aux soins dont Arthur a besoin au Canada, nous nous sommes tournés vers les États-Unis. Arthur est maintenant suivi par un spécialiste de renommée mondiale, le Dr Paul G. Harch, en Louisiane. Le 13 janvier 2025, il commencera une oxygénothérapie hyperbare, un traitement qui a permis à d'autres jeunes victimes de noyade de se rétablir. Ces thérapies, associées à des soins spécialisés, offrent un réel espoir.

Nous rêvons du jour où nous le verrons marcher, où nous l'entendrons nous appeler « Maman » et « Papa » et où nous le verrons vivre la vie pleine et heureuse qu'il mérite.
