Help Lisset & baby Niko w. the loss of Edgar Ruiz

We have contributed to many GoFundMe’s but did not anticipate the day where we, the cousins of Lisset, would be creating one ourselves.
 
On Tuesday morning, January 18th Lisset got the call that her fiance, Edgar, tragically died while working at the Long Beach Port, being crushed by a 4 thousand lbs piece of metal.
 
Lisset and her fiance Edgar are 7 months pregnant with a beautiful and healthy baby boy Niko. Edgar was so excited to be a father, looking forward to their baby shower that was set to be this upcoming weekend and his son’s arrival. This week while they were excited and looking forward to such a significant moment in their lives, the unimaginable happened. We are starting this GoFundMe to ensure our cousin and Edgar’s son, baby Niko, are taken care of, knowing Edgar was a hardworking union member who did all he could to ensure Lisset and their son were provided for.
 
We have never met a man more deserving of praise or the moniker of a “good man”, our cousin Lisset felt so blessed to have a man who treated her like a queen. We were all so honored to have met him and were thrilled for him to be a part of our family. He truly left an impact on every person he met. When they found out they were pregnant… the pure bliss and joy they shared was contagious. He was supportive and loving, and we saw actual and real true love anytime we were in their presence.
