UPDATE: 2/13/2021 - Thank you everyone for all your prayers and support. Unfortunately, on Thursday February 11th, Lisa was called home to be with the lord. She fought as hard as she could to come home to us but God had other plans.
She was such a beautiful light to this world and her spirit will live on forever through the lives of those she has touched. Her along with her husband Jaime are the Pastors of Praise Chapel Adelanto and have dedicated their lives to serving God and doing his work.
This has been a challenging time for the Gonzalez family as they have had to adjust to not having their mom home with them. Lisa is leaving behind a husband and 6 children who are all mourning her loss greatly. No one expected this outcome we all had faith she would make it home, but God wanted her home with him.
There is not a doubt in our minds that Lisa is up in heaven singing and worshiping the way she always did here on earth, she was truly one of a kind with a heart of gold.
Please continue to lift up the Gonzalez family in prayer as they try to navigate this new chapter of their lives. This has been a such a financial and emotional strain on the family while taking time off of work to be with one another and to give Lisa a beautiful service like she deserves. We appreciate all the support and love during these hard times, any donations will go directly to the Gonzalez family to help ease the financial strain they have been facing for these last few months. Lets come together and bless this family the way they have always blessed those around them. I know Lisa has made an impact on so many people, and so many hearts are broken to know she is no longer here with us on earth, but she is in the most beautiful place now watching over us. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
In late November of 2020 Lisa and most of her family tested positive for covid. Being the nurturing mother she is, she was worried about her family being sick more than herself and as a result she ended up being hospitalized on December 8th with Covid Pneumonia. She has been in the hospital now for over a month still battling the multiple complications as a result of having Covid.
While in the hospital Lisa's health has fluctuated, and she has had a hard time breathing on her own. On January 4th, her oxygen levels went up the most they had since being hospitalized, and things were looking good for her to come home. Unfortunately, that didn't last very long and that same day, her lung collapsed and she was rushed to the ICU to have an emergency intubation where they sedated her and ran an oxygen tube straight to her lung to try to inflate it.
After a few days of being sedated, Lisa's oxygen levels fluctuated day-to-day and today, January 12th, Lisa's lung began collapsing even more than it already did and they had to have another emergency surgery to add another tube straight to her lung.
As you can imagine, it has put a huge financial strain on the family having to take time off of work and care for the younger kids in the house. Lisa is very much the backbone of this family and it has been challenging for them to cope with not having her home. Jaime (Lisa's husband) who is also the Pastor of Praise Chapel Adelanto, has been by her side as much as he can be while still trying to work and put together sermans for the church. While dealing with this emotional strain, it has also been a financial strain on him to have gone from two solid incomes to less than one income as he is taking unpaid time off of work to be at the hospital with Lisa as much as they will let him as of right now he is not allowed in person visits because she is still in ICU. He also has been taking care of their younger kids who Lisa would normally be here to help with as well which has been a bit challenging, because they are used to having their mom home with them.
Medical and regular household bills have begun to pile up for the family and being so close to them, it is hard to sit back and see them struggle not only financially, but emotionally as well. Anyone who knows Jaime and Lisa personally know they would give the shirt off their back to just about anyone. I know there have been a lot of inquiries on how to help them out so I thought this would be a good way to do so. Anything will help and all donations are appreciated greatly. All donations will go directly to the family let's help ease the financial burden for Jaime so he can be there as much as he needs to for Lisa and the family.
