<div>I am a mother, a grandmother, and a retired nurse.  I am trying to raise money for <strong>my daughter for a real Attorney.  She has been in the county jail for 4 months now. I am just a mother fighting for justice.</strong> My daughter's future is on the line. She' has been , fighting battles I never imagined she would face.

<div>Lisa, our shining star, even when shadows from her past threatened to swallow her whole. 8 years ago lt began with a naive encounter—someone who took advantage of her kindness.

<div>She confessed to something, not realizing the gravity of her confession could backfire on her fragile heart.
</div>
<div>Her story is filled with injustice and heartache.  Abuse, exploitation, in every possible way.  By one man over a 3 week period of time , Lisa at the time was 25.  Now she is 33

<div>The man responsible for the crime   was never charged.  Yet Lisa, a victim of his criminal activity. Was thrown into a legal nightmare that she could not have possibly navigated without proper guidance. LISA had been abused by him in every possible way over a 3 week period of time.
</div>
<div>She ended up confessing to his crime.   Just so she could get away from him.
</div>
<div>She pled no contest, just hoping the judge would give her leniency, who sentenced her to ten years probation.   A sentence I believe was more reflective of my daughter's character than any court ruling could capture.
</div>
<div>After five years of probation, Lisa failed a drug test. The entire ordeal.  Ended with her becoming an addict. Which she had never used drugs prior.   She tried this past year after loosing her brother and cousin who both passed away in very tragic ways, taking both of their lives. She went on her own to a few rehabs short stays trying to get help after they passed away, and 5 years into her probation. . Inevitably she failed a drug test after being on probation for 5 years.

<div>The public defender assigned to Lisa's case is not doing her any justice.  My heart aches, fearing that she will not get the attention that she needs during these trying times due to limited resources at their disposal.
</div>
<div><strong>Lisa needs an attorney who can fight for what is just, for a second chance beyond this legal quagmire.</strong>

<div>That is why I am here, reaching out into the vast unknown of cyberspace in search of support and solidarity.

She needs long term rehab through the courts , not Prison.   This was her first violation technical , in 5 years no outside charges. 1st time offender. We live in a small rural town , that just seems to want her to go to prison. Not give her help court ordered. As many courts do.
