News Story About the Fire
On October 1, 2018 a fire burned down the building that my sister (Lindsey), my niece, & their dog were living in. This fire displaced a total of 12 people & killed a cat. My sister's apartment shared a wall with the apartment in which the blaze started and it destroyed everything she owns.
Lindsey is a strong young woman who puts others before herself, does not like to ask for help, & has even spent her own personal money to help those effected try to get situated. She is a beautiful person inside & out with a brilliant 7 year old to look out for. Her daughter's birthday is this month & she's now faced with a major financial blow, trying to replace a lifetime of belongings, & with trying to protect my niece from the harsh reality of this devastation. However, without help from others, this is a daunting task.
Despite the incorrect information in the press release these families, including herself, have not received additional support or housing. Many of the families, including herself, are spending their last dollars to share hotel rooms. Please help me raise money to help Lindsey find a new home & start over! Our goal is $5000 to try to get her money for 1st month rent & deposit along with some money for furniture. Please donate whatever you can to assist and spread the word by sharing this campaign.
