Hi everybody. I would like you to meet Jamie, a plucky, wonderful young horse, beloved by Lindsey and Eugene Burns. Jamie is a yearling out of McKenna (also bred by Lindsey and Eugene), who they tragically lost soon after Jamie was weaned last year. She was an exceptional mare who gave two wonderful foals.

A little over three months ago, Jamie picked up an infection, which we now know is four different bacteria, and is proving very hard to defeat.

Lindsey and Eugene are making gallant efforts to fight this infection, and it has been very expensive so far, not even including the time, energy, and love that Lindsey has given him, while continuing with her own very busy schedule.

But now there is a new hope on the horizon, with a very new method of getting the antibiotics to the source of the infection. Of course, this is expensive, but at least there is some hope.

Lindsey and Eugene are two of the hardest working young people that I have ever met. Their dedication to their horses, friends, and family is exceptional, but we all know that money is very hard to save for occasions like this.

With help from all the wonderful friends, family, and clients that Lindsey and Eugene have all over the country, I would love to lighten their burden, hence this GoFundMe page.
