Help Lindsay Recover from B&E

As most of you know, this year has pretty much totally sucked. Especially when it comes to working and supporting ourselves during a pandemic and such erratic life circumstances. On October 28, 2020, I returned home from dinner with my sister to discover that my house had been broken into. Luckily there was no one home, my kids are safe, my animals weren’t harmed and I didn’t take that much of a hit. However, my lockbox was stolen and that contained all of my tips that I have saved over the last 2 weeks. These tips are the money that sustain me and enable me to continue supporting myself and living. I use this money for gas to drive to work, food for myself and my animals, money to pay my rent and what little I had started saving for my girls Christmas because the least I can do is try to provide a bit of normalcy for them during the holidays. I usually save this money and when I need to use it it goes in the bank. I do this so I won’t have access to everything I have at one time and do not spend unnecessarily. With that being said, I literally have the $20 a friend so graciously gave me just so I can get enough gas to drive to work and start this process again. This is far fetched but I’m really hoping someone might be able to donate me at least $1 to try to recover from this incident. The police were involved but there was not much they could or seemed inclined to do. After being told an officer likely wouldn’t have time to respond, I also was told to take my own photographic evidence of the break in and essentially received no help from law enforcement. Honestly I really appreciate anyone who took the time to read this, because venting about it will also help me heal. I’m just trying to come up with enough money to replace what was stolen so I can get through the next few weeks as I’m already not able to pay my rent for the month at this current moment.
