Help Lill get to the World Parkinson’s Congress
Donation protected
I have been selected to volunteer at the World Parkinson’s Congress in Kyoto, Japan in June 2019 and would love some help to get me there!
Parkinson’s Disease has become a huge part of my life since my husband Rob was diagnosed at the age of 35, in May 2015.
We try our very best to deal with it in a positive way and one way of doing this is helping to raise awareness of this massively misunderstood disease.
I applied to volunteer as it’s important to me that I can give something back to the Parkinson’s community which has been so supportive to us and if, by volunteering, I can help to increase people’s knowledge of the disease or help someone in our situation feel less alone then I will be able to take some comfort that our struggles are worth it.
As I am also a student nurse, I am excited to be able to attend the Congress in the hope that it will help further my understanding of the disease, allowing me to provide a greater standard of care to patients.
I’m looking for help to cover costs of travel and accommodation for my time in Japan and would be incredibly grateful if you were able to help in any way, no matter how small!
If you’d like further information on the Congress, please click here.
**If by some miracle I manage to raise enough money, anything above the actual costs will be donated to Parkinson’s charities.**
