My name is Luis Virguez and I live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lilian is my sister and she has cancer. She lives in Venezuela, the country with the highest inflation in the planet where corruption, hunger, crime and lack of medicines is the norm in one of the richest countries in the world. Lilian loves and trusts the Lord, and even though all seems to be negative and not on her favor, we are confident that with your prayers and contributions she will overcome this terrible disease . Cancer, which inspires fear. Antonym of life. Pain. My name is Lilian Virgüez de Granados, and I have cancer.
I’ve been so distressed to see first hand the changes in my body caused by this disease, the diagnosis, but what is really shocking is to realize that getting sick in Venezuela is a major challenge. In times when inflation devours you, that just to find an aspirin is a Herculean task, thinking of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy is terrifying.
Nevertheless, there are life options to address/treat the grade 2 infiltrating ductal carcinoma that I have in the right breast, one of them: partial mastectomy with intraoperative radiation therapy and hormone therapy for five or more years. It is an alternative that I want to take, but I do not have enough resources to do it. That's why I’m calling on you to join me to fight and defeat this disease.
I pledge to inform you how the case evolves and I will provide any documentation that you may require to demonstrate the authenticity of my case.

Me angustió constatar los cambios corporales que provoca la enfermedad, el diagnóstico, pero lo que me dejó plantada fue tomar conciencia de que en Venezuela enfermarse es un reto mayor. En tiempos cuando la inflación te devora y hallar una aspirina es una proeza hercúlea, pensar en cirugía, quimioterapia, radioterapia, hormonoterapia es aterrador.
A pesar de todo, existen opciones de vida para abordar el carcinoma ductal infiltrante grado 2 que tengo en la mama derecha, una de ellas: la mastectomía parcial con radioterapia intraoperatoria y hormonoterapia por cinco o más años. Es una alternativa que quiero tomar, mas no dispongo de recursos suficientes para hacerlo. Por eso llamo a tu solidaridad.
Me comprometo a informar cómo evoluciona el caso y facilitaré la documentación que se requiera para demostrar su autenticidad.
