Help Lilia beat cancer

Update: Four days after starting this fundraiser, we have received the devastating news that Lilia’s doctors in Moscow have diagnosed her cancer as too rare and aggressive for treatment. They are offering her only basic pain relief and have advised she make the necessary arrangements at home. However, this diagnosis has been challenged by specialist doctors in Israel, who have seen cases like this misdiagnosed in the past. These doctors think Lilia has been misdiagnosed too and are offering a reassessment and then treatment in Israel to try and tackle her cancer. As I’m sure you can imagine, this makes it impossible to accept the offer of only pain relief, as it would be deciding Lila’s fate when there is the possibility of recovery. As a family, we cannot ignore this hope. We, therefore, have no choice but to seek her treatment in Israel with specialists and are having to face into the reality of additional expense.
The level of generosity and kindness we have experienced over the last 4 days has been overwhelming, and we cannot thank everyone enough for their messages of support and their donations. We are working hard to continue fundraising to support Lilia, but as it turns out the original £7,000 quoted by Moscow hospital for basic pain relief treatment was a cruel joke. In reality, the sum of Chemo treatment far exceeds this by thousands of pounds. What we hope to achieve now is £10,000 for flights, accommodation and a second diagnosis in Israel in order to gauge if we have any hope in treating this cancer!!! Original post: A few weeks ago, my sister in law Lilia was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. She is 28 years old, and is the mother of two beautiful little girls, aged 3 years and 10 months. Unfortunately, Lilia's cancer is spreading at a rapid speed, with metastasis now found in her liver and lungs. Metastasis is the development of secondary malignant growths at a distance from a primary site of cancer.
The specific diagnosis for Lilia is still unclear, but the five-year survival rate for people diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer that has metastasized to other areas of the body is 5%. It is therefore crucial that Lilia starts the first round of treatment as soon as possible, but she is facing a further challenge, which is that her hometown of Vladimir is unable to treat her, so she is being treated in Russia's Capital; Moscow. This adds extra expense to an already non-funded treatment.
Without treatment, my poor nieces face growing up without a mother. We are doing everything we can to support her, but are in need of additional help. So, my family are fundraising to help save Lilia’s life. If you could spare any money at all, we would be extremely grateful. No amount is too small - every little helps.
