Lili’s medical/ PT bills

Lilian Flores is a well known and loved custodian at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. She has been working there since I started at BCC my freshman year (I’m now a senior) and in those four years I have been able to see the mark that she has left on my classmates. Every time you see Lili in the hallway she greats you with a warm smile and asks you how your day is going, etc. Being fluent in Spanish I am able to hold long conversations with her which has shown me the impact she has on other practicing students who are either interested in conversing in Spanish or just practicing out what they know. When something is wrong she will go out of her way to help that student or just distract them from what’s happening. When she suddenly left BCC, many kids were surprised and worrying about where she had gone. There was no information out so many kids were confused. There were rumors going around that she had fallen and was out in the hospital. Today, she got back. I along with many other students throughout the day were able to talk to her and find out what happened. At the end of the day, around 2:35pm, Lili was walking in the hallway and slipped around a big group of kids. She went to the school and told them what happened but they could not compensate her. Unfortunately, the incident happened in a part of the hallway where both security cameras were facing away from it so there was no psychical proof. There were two boys who helped her up and another group of boys who was there when the whole thing happened who have not yet been identified but are hopefully going to be. Lili was out for more than a month and had to pay for hospital and physical therapy bills with no workers compensation. She is now back yet the county still refuses to help her pay for any of the bills because of the “lack of proof”. Please help us to first of all identify anyone who saw the accident happen and donate to help her pay her bills while the county doesn’t. FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS!! SPREAD THE WORD!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Started on 02/06/20
