Help Lidia with her medical expenses...

Last Wednesday someone shot my niece in the face. She live with her grandparents for over 10 years in the same home. This neighborhood is considered to be quiet and safe, but our family found out that was not the case.  Lidia heard a knock on the back door and didn't think anything was abnormal. She looked out the glass window of the door and was instantly shot in the face. Lidia is only 11 years old, and have to live with this physical and emotional scaring that someone cowardly inflicted on her. She will require more cosmetic surgery in the future. Let's help Lidia get back just a little bit of normalcy in her life.  Thanks for letting me share Lidia's story, and thanks to everyone who will support and think about her. UPDATE!! I would like to thank everyone who have been so generous and is supporting my family during this difficult time. It is truly amazing to witness the kindness from both near and far. Thank you all for giving Lidia some hope for the future. UPDATE I created this fundraiser without letting the public really know who I am. If I am relying on you all during this difficult time I will be very transparent. You all have been generous without hesitation. I am Lidia's Aunt. My husband and I recently retired from the military and moved to the Pocono Mountains. We live about 45 minutes away from my niece. I set up this fundraiser to help with Lidia's medical expenses. All funds donated to the cause will be put in an account for her until the doctors give us the ok for her to perform further procedures. I would like you all (the public) to know that I will do the right thing for my niece. My husband and I may not be actively serving this country anymore, but we live our lives by our core values that have been instilled in us. We belive in Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
