Help Lianik Get Home!

Lianik left her home in El Salvador to travel to Isla Mujeres, Mexico for a yoga teacher training on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.  She was scheduled to stay for 10 days, leaving Mexico on Friday, March 20th to go back home to El Salvador. However, on Wednesday, March 11th, El Salvador closed their borders, one day after she had arrived in Mexico. The borders have not been reopened since then.  The President of El Salvador first said they would reopen the borders on April 15th and now he is saying they will not reopen until May 5th.  That date is not set in stone. 

Lianik is now stuck in Mexico alone with little to no necessities as she has had to spend her money on lodging and only planned to stay for 10 days.  She is no longer employed as the studio and company she was working for in El Salvador have both been closed. 

Lianik is trying to find and create work for herself while in Mexico.  She has even been offering free breathwork videos to local hospitals, nurses unions, and students. 

I am asking for donations on her behalf to help her continue to pay for her lodging, food, and basic necessities until she is able to go home.

I encouraged Lianik to allow me to set this page up for her when she told me her story.  She was hesitant to ask for help but her funds are quickly diminishing. I met Lianik in 2015 during a yoga training and knew instantly that she was a kind, caring and empathetic human being.  She has a heart of gold and truly practices what she teaches her students- living a life of honesty, truth, compassion and service.
