Our wonderful Mom , Grandma and friend Leslie was diagnosed with extensive stage metastatic small cell lung cancer on September 15, 2018. Starting in her left lung, it has since traveled to her right lung, liver, head of pancreas ,brain and most resently her bones.
Small cell lung cancer affects 10-15 % of lung cancer cases and unfortunately where she is staged her cancer is inoperative and terminal. At this point it is crucial to aggressively fight with radiation and chemotherapy, to provide quality and quanity of life, which she has undergone multiple rounds of each.
In the midst of all her treatments Leslie also broke her hip and underwent a full hip replacement, as well.
Since her diagnosis Leslie has been unable to work and medical co-pays and basic living expenses have become impossible to keep up with.
Leslie is a great person , kind loving and a wonderful Mother and Grandmother.
