<div>If you know Leslie you know kindness, empathy, patience and friendship. Whether you’ve seen her side stage during jazz fest on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans or working at the Continental Club or Big Top Lounge in Houston she is always greeting strangers with a smile and friends with a giant hug.
</div>

<div>Over the years, Leslie’s contributions to the world of arts were seen through her work with Craviotto Drum Company, Audacity Management (artist management, and clinician services) and her current formation of her own art studio LDeHaven Fine Art.
</div>

</div>
<div>To know Leslie is to love her. This is her cancer story:

</div>
<div>During a routine mammogram the doctors noticed an anomaly in Leslie’s right breast. A second, more thorough exam and a biopsy showed the spot to be an invasive ductal carcinoma and an aggressive type of cancer. Luckily, with early detection and a good team of doctors, a plan is in place to remove the tumor and the surrounding tissue before it can spread to lymph nodes and other parts of the body.

<div>Leslie is strong and she’s ready to take on this challenge.
</div>

</div>
<div>She will be looking at not only a removal of the tumor and the surrounding lymph nodes but a full reconstruction and reduction of the breast as well as several weeks of “light” chemotherapy followed by several months of radiation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our daily routines that have become so regular are about to be turned upside down with doctor visits, treatments, and recovery time. As with the American medical system, insurance can only do so much and additional funds are needed for lost time at work and extra medical costs as well as "the unforeseeable" that comes with cancer treatments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It would mean so much to know that she can recover without the stress that comes with being away from work. Any assistance is lovingly welcomed even if it’s simply sharing Leslie’s story with your family and friends.
</div>
