Help My Mother Leslie Beat Cancer

On August 13th, 2017, the lives of my mother Leslie and her loved ones changed forever. What was supposed to be a routine colonoscopy turned into our worst nightmare. A cancerous tumor was found in her rectum, and the doctors explained the extent of the disease, and just how long the road to remission would take. My mom was diagnosed with Stage 2/3 Rectal Cancer and was told the process could take up to a year. To say it was a shock to Leslie and her loved ones would be an understatement.
The first step of this process was completed on October 13th which consisted of neo-adjuvant (pre surgery) chemo-radiation. As of right now, her body is recovering from this and on December 12th she will undergo major surgery. Then, Leslie will undergo 4-6 more months of chemo to kill off any roaming cancer cells that may be left.
The medical bills are already beginning to pile up, and with the help of our family and friends, we are hoping that we can raise enough money to supplement the medical bills, and day-to-day living costs while she undergoes this grueling process.
My mom is the toughest person in the lives of all who know her and with the support of her family and friends we know she can beat this. We are asking that anyone who can afford to give anything to please donate to aiding Leslie’s recovery. Those who know my mother know she is not the type to ask for help regardless of the situation, but this is one thing she cannot conquer by herself. Any amount of money will be greatly appreciated by Leslie and her family, as it will take a burden off her shoulders while going through this process.
