She’s currently hospitalized at Mott’s children’s hospital after someone she was in a car with recklessly crashed, killing Lesley’s boyfriend, and causing Lesley multiple injuries including a fractured pelvis, arm and leg, spinal damage, which require multiple surgeries that she’s still undergoing.

<div>Lesley will turn 16 this year and has so much life left to live. Although she’s stable right now and we are hopeful for her recovery, it’s ultimately going to be a long and expensive road. Our family is currently taking turns to stay with her as she undergoes and recovers from each surgery, which has impacted us financially already as our mom is a single mom and sole provider for my sister.
