June 16 at 5:45pn my husband, Leonardo Zavalza, was returning home from work in Ayutla Jaslisco Mexico when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. My husband has since been in the hospital with a broken arm, leg and foot. His foot has multiple breaks which needs immediate surgery with the doctors quoting us 3000 dollars. I do not have the means to pay for his surgery as I am functioning as a single mom here in the states without my husband on top of working through getting my CNA and working the little time I have between taking care of our son and class. His family (almost all residing in Mexico) also do not have the funds. The man who hit my husband on scene accepted accountability for the accident and offered to pay for his expenses. He then gave his family a phone number which they have not been able to reach the man at. My husband is a hard working man, husband, father and son. He cared greatly for those in his life and even the strangers he meets everyday. It breaks my heart to see and know he is in pain and I pray we can get his surgery done as soon as possible to avoid any possible complications or issues. Anything helps, but if you're unable to donate please share and pray for his quick recovery.

El 16 de junio, a las 5:45 p. m., mi esposo, Leonardo Zavalza, regresaba a casa del trabajo en Jalisco, México, cuando fue arrojado por un auto mientras conducía su motocicleta. Desde entonces, mi esposo ha estado hospitalizado con un brazo, una pierna y un pie fracturados. Su pie tiene múltiples fracturas y requiere cirugía inmediata, y los médicos nos han cotizado 3000 dólares. No tengo los medios para pagar su cirugía, ya que vivo como madre soltera aquí en Estados Unidos sin mi esposo, además de trabajar para obtener mi Certificado de Enfermería Auxiliar (CNA) y trabajar el poco tiempo que tengo entre cuidar a nuestro hijo y las clases. Su familia (casi toda residente en México) tampoco tiene los recursos. El hombre que atropelló a mi esposo en el lugar del accidente aceptó la responsabilidad del accidente y se ofreció a pagar sus gastos. Luego les dio a su familia un número de teléfono al que no han podido contactarlo. Mi esposo es un hombre trabajador, esposo, padre e hijo. Se preocupaba mucho por las personas en su vida e incluso por los desconocidos que conoce a diario. Me rompe el corazón verlo y saber que está sufriendo y rezo para que podamos realizar su cirugía lo antes posible para evitar posibles complicaciones o problemas.
