I'm Brad Martin, a longtime friend and colleague of Lee Skelton and Mary Hiers. As many of you know, they have been a staple of the Asheville and WNC gardening and landscaping community for over 40 years.

During Hurricane Helene, the building that not only houses their two businesses (Mountainscapes and Mountain Information Systems), but also both families' heirlooms, collapsed during the subsequent flooding. The building was located above the 100-year flood line but was still consumed by over 20 feet of water. As we are all unfortunately learning, insurance does not cover losses due to flooding. They are building back starting with only the concrete pad left.

We are fundraising to help them rebuild their businesses and recover loss of income.
