Please help our dear friend Leanne Breithaupt Rosenblatt beat cancer!
Leanne’s life dramatically changed on August 17, 2018 when she felt major pain in her stomach and went to the emergency room where they found a very large malignant tumor in her abdomen.
Leanne had surgery on August 24 where they removed part of her tumor along with her appendix, ovaries and stomach lining. They were unable to remove the majority of the tumor because it spread throughout her Gastrointestinal area and is wrapped around her other organs “like a grapevine. “
Leanne has been diagnosed with stage 4 appendix cancer. An extremely rare cancer that is found in only 1000 Americans per year. “We need to start chemo yesterday-there is still a lot of disease inside you “are the words that Leanne said she will NEVER forget! Her chemo treatment started on 9/14 and she will undergo 6 treatments every two weeks for 48 hours each time, ironically her last treatment ending on her birthday 11/28. Once chemo ends, they hope the tumor will shrink enough so that they can perform surgery to remove the rest of the tumor and perform HIPEC chemo which is a heated, more direct chemo offered to patients with late staged and advanced cancers.
Leanne is 48, single and lives on her own. She is a Mortgage Originator and makes her living on a commission basis. She is now on medical leave indefinitely and will be relying on short term disability and Social Security benefits. She is in for the fight of her life, but we all know that with her spirit and drive and all our prayers and love – she WILL beat this! Even with insurance, Leanne‘s medical bills, treatments, medications and living expenses are becoming a huge financial burden. All those that know Leanne know that she is an extremely kind, loving and warm – hearted person who would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. Now it is our chance to help her!
