Hi!
I'm Leah Gunter, proud cat mommy of Luna Gunter.
She is what makes my heart complete.
Luna is more than a pet—she’s family. She came into our lives during a time of heartbreak, and somehow managed to begin stitching my heart back together just by existing. She wasn’t even supposed to be ours, but the moment we looked into each other’s eyes, we both knew she had found her forever home.
Since then, Luna has been a source of healing, laughter, and comfort. She brings light into the darkest days and peace when everything else feels chaotic. She cuddles when she senses pain, stays close when someone’s hurting, and somehow always knows when she’s needed most.
Luna means stability. She means comfort. She means love in its purest form.
To our family, she’s not just a cat. She’s part of our soul.
Luna is our loving, 2-year-old cat (baby) who was recently diagnosed with a large, fast-growing tumor in her ear.
Despite the discomfort, she's still full of life - and she deserves the chance to keep living it.
Her veterinarian believes the tumor may be benign, which means it's likely curable with surgery to remove it. But, the tumor is growing fast, and it's now affecting her quality of life - causing pain, swelling, and difficulty eating.
Surgery was originally scheduled for this past Tuesday, but we weren't able to afford it at that time.
Now, we're racing against the clock.
Total cost for the surgery, with the biopsy: $671.65
(Cost without biopsy: $381.87, but we're aiming for the full amount so we can ensure she's truly safe.)
We've already spent over $300 in recent vet visits, and we're trying everything we can to pull together funds from grants and local aid - but we're falling short. Any amount you can give will go directly towards getting Luna back on the path of healing.
If you prefer to donate directly to the vet, you can call:
Sunrise Animal Hospital - Taylors, SC (864) [phone redacted] under Luna Gunter/Leah Gunter.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, or donating.
Luna's life is still so full of joy and love - and we want to fight for every second of it.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or anything further about Luna. You may reach me on my personal number:

Let's work together at saving Luna's life!
