Help Us Get a Life-Saving Seizure Alert Dog for Our Daughter

Hi, my name is Tiffany, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s deepest hope: to keep my daughter safe while she sleeps.

Our daughter Layla suffers from seizures that only happen while she’s sleeping. This means there is no warning—no signs we can watch for during the day, and no way for us to predict when one might strike at night.

We live with the constant fear that we’ll close our eyes, fall asleep… and miss a seizure that could cost our daughter her life.

That’s why we’re asking for help to get a specially trained seizure alert service dog.

These amazing dogs are trained to detect and respond to seizures—even during sleep. They can alert us immediately if something is wrong, giving us precious seconds to intervene and possibly save her life. They can even be trained to get help, press a button to alert us in another room, or provide comfort during recovery.

A service dog would not only protect our daughter—it would allow our family to finally sleep at night without fear. Right now, one of us stays up most nights just to keep watch. It's exhausting, emotionally draining, and unsustainable.

Unfortunately, seizure alert dogs are expensive. Between training, placement, and travel, we are looking at $15,000–$25,000 to get a certified service dog that meets her needs.
