Help Layla Breathe Again: Support Her Treatment
Donation protected
On August 6, Layla was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with pneumatosis coli and intestinalis, a very rare condition. She was treated with antibiotics for three months. After being home for a week, she developed a cough. I took her to the vet, who initially suspected kennel cough, but it turned out to be pneumonia. Layla hasn’t improved and has been prescribed three different antibiotics. After X-rays and various tests, the vet is now concerned there might be a tumor. The next steps include a CT scan and scope to investigate further. She has persistent green nasal discharge and difficulty breathing. I have already spent $6,000 on veterinary bills, and I’m at a loss for what to do next.
