(Kari Quimby) Monday evening somebody, who, for a period of my life, was one of the most important people in the world to me, passed away. It was sudden and it was shocking. She was an amazingly talented fine artist, musician, and singer who possessed an angelic voice that was equally at home growling out some OG riot grrl tunes, harmonizing to some girl-group grooviness, strumming along at a hootenanny, or belting out a beautiful Verdi aria. She was a local business owner and a darling of her community. She brought light into everyone's life who knew her and thus all those same lives are quite a bit darker in her passing.
