My name is Laury, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a really difficult moment. Recently, my boss took me out of work due to concerns about my mental health. While I do have a mental illness, I’ve always done my best to manage it and provide for my child as a single mom. My boss has told me I can return to work once I get evaluated, but the earliest appointment I could get with a therapist is next Friday. That means I’ll be without pay for at least two weeks, and I’m worried about how I’ll cover my basic expenses during this time.
