Help Lauren Get Urgent Cancer Treatment
My dear friend, Lauren, is just 21 years old and facing the fight of her life. She has been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of ovarian cancer - hypercalcemic type, an aggressive, rare cancer. She has been getting treatments at Highland Oncology, but they have told her that her cancer cannot be cured. There are more treatments out there that have not been tried yet.
Right now, time is not on our side. Highlands has sent referrals for a second opinion, but the only available appointment in Little Rock isn’t until April. Unfortunately, that is too long to wait, as her cancer is growing rapidly. The best chance for immediate treatment is in St. Louis, Missouri, where doctors can see her right away.
However, there’s a major roadblock—her Arkansas insurance is not accepted in Missouri, meaning she and her mother must relocate to Missouri as soon as possible. Her mom has been working as much as she can while dealing with the unimaginable stress of this diagnosis and the unexpected death of her brother. They need help covering the moving and living expenses to get Lauren the care she desperately needs. Lauren has uncles and aunts in Missouri that could care for her while her mother works.
We are asking for support to help cover the cost of moving, temporary housing, and basic necessities so that her family can focus on what matters most—her health. Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in giving Lauren the best chance at more time.
Please donate and share this fundraiser to help us get her to the care she needs before it’s too late. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
