I am a survivor of 6 years of domestic abuse and was finally able to escape for good earlier this year. The experience has left me with PTSD and I have been forced to take a leave of absence from work to heal from all the trauma. I am currently in intensive therapy but I need time and space to recover. Your support helps me with living expenses while I fully recover.
There is no way I would have ever made it this far without the generous support of my family and friends, to whom I am endlessly grateful. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in years- no words can explain how happy I am to be here now (really, I tried the words).
