<div>Hello friends! The word "cancer" casts overwhelming fear and anxiety into the patients, friends and families of those touched by the dreaded diagnosis. My personal bout with stage 4, metastatic melanoma which, according to the medical establishment, should have had me pushing up daisies within months, led me on a desperate quest to understand the nature of the beast. What I discovered was a woefully inadequate system of dealing with the disease, particularly with respect to a comprehensive, integrated understanding of its causes, prevention and clinically supported cures.

<div>I spent countless hours reviewing miraculous remissions, alternative treatment clinical trials, cultural traditions and the scientific community's most recent collective thoughts on everything having to do with cancer. It was a daunting task that required digging deeply into areas that went way beyond our health system's traditional treatment modalities of surgery (cut it out), radiation (burn it) and chemotherapy (poison it).

<div>As is the case with most survivors of terminal cancer, I now consider my experience to have been an incredible blessing. It has opened my eyes to the fact that a cancer diagnosis is definitely NOT a death sentence, and once you truly understand the mechanisms at work behind this dark curtain, it can not only lead to remission but to a healthfulness previously unimagined.

<div>It's now time to "pay it forward" by helping others faced with a cancer diagnosis. My seemingly successful attempts at sharing what I learned with a few friends touched by cancer, which has brought me incredible satisfaction and joy, compels me to devote more of my time and effort on a more formal scale. Thus, the purpose of this funding event is to provide the seed capital for the creation of the Holistic Cancer Care Foundation ("HCCF").

<div>My vision for HCCF is to have it become a comprehensive informational resource for those touched by cancer. It will provide a holistic, integrated approach to the disease leveraging off of the new field of epigenetics, which points to the incredibly empowering fact that over 90% of the causes, prevention and cure of cancer are actually within our control.

<div>The funds raised will be used to cover the legal and administrative costs of establishing HCCF as a not-for-profit 501C (3) entity focused solely on providing education and resources to those touched by cancer that represent a holistic, epigenetic and fully integrated approach to managing the disease.
