<div>In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we witnessed the power of community resource sharing firsthand. When external help was scarce, our town in Asheville, NC came together, sharing resources, supporting one another, and proving that abundance comes from collective action! This experience reshaped our perspective on the true meaning of abundance and showed us that when we work together and pool our resources, we have everything that we need AND MORE!

<div>Later, we watched the Netflix documentary <em>"Buy Now"</em>, which illuminated fast fashion’s devastating impact on the environment, and a troubling reality hit home; our culture of over-production, over-consumption, and materialism is filling landfills with one entire garbage truck of textile waste EVERY SECOND (globally).

<div>The textile industry is the 3rd largest polluter in the world after fossil fuels and agriculture... and fast fashion isn't just wasteful... it’s toxic. The industry floods our environment with microplastics, chemical dyes, and hormone-disrupting PFAS, polluting water systems and harming both people and the planet.

<div><strong>The Closetorium is a nonprofit Fashion Library that reduces textile waste while making sustainable, high-quality fashion accessible to all.</strong> Instead of buying new, members gain access to the biggest closet on earth, where they can refresh their wardrobes without contributing to waste!

<div><em>It's the luxury of going shopping every day without the stress that comes at checkout! (and the waste that comes when we want new clothes)</em>

<div>Community members gain access to a vibrant &amp; dynamic emporium of high-quality and desirable clothing, where they can browse, pick out something they love, enjoy wearing something fresh and new for them, then return it when they're done and swap it out for something new as much as they want! A value equivalent to spending $1400/month on clothes.

<div>Every new member who joins and pledges to end their fast fashion shopping will save 81 lbs of textile waste in the landfill each year! We hope to have around 400+ members at our first location and aim to expand nationally to make the biggest paradigm shift in consumerism in history!
