Dear Friends and Supporters,
I’m excited to share that my sister, Farhiya Omar, and her co-founder, Ramla Ahmed, are launching Nisa Wellness Center. Nisa is a nonprofit gym created by women, for women, right here in San Diego! I’m asking for your help to make this dream a reality.
Why Nisa Wellness Center Matters
Nisa isn’t just another gym; it’s a space for women of all ages and backgrounds to feel empowered and supported in their fitness journey. A place where women can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our Vision:
- A fully equipped gym for all fitness levels
- A swimming pool, sauna, and multi-purpose sports court
- A variety of fitness classes, from yoga to strength training such as pilates
Our Mission:
Nisa is committed to helping underserved women, including immigrant/refugees, military families, single mothers, women with disabilities, and those in marginalized communities. Many of these communities face barriers to wellness resources, and Nisa aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all women can prioritize their health.
Your Donations Cover:
- Facility Development: Securing the right location and outfitting it with top-quality fitness equipment
- Fitness Programs: Various classes to best tailor individual needs
- Community Building: Creating an environment where women can comfortably connect
Down the line, we will offer childcare services, wellness programs, and life skills trainings to create a holistic wellness experience for every woman.
Here’s How You Can Help:
- Donate: Every contribution, big or small, helps fund Nisa Wellness Center’s development.
- Share: Spread the word to your friends and family to help us reach more people.
- Become a Partner: If you're a business or can offer services to support our mission, we’d love to collaborate.
With your support, we can create a space where women don’t just get fit, they feel confident, supported, and connected.
Thank you for your time and generosity!
With gratitude,
Maryam Omar, MD
